The Dollhaus Presents:
THE TWISTED ONES POSTER SHOW
by Arthur Arbit
November 16th, 2002
The Twisted Ones have been
putting on shows in Brooklyn since the fall of 2000. These shows have been
revolutionary, changing the face of the Brooklyn Music scene and are still
absolutely vital today.
The Twisted Ones have put on shows in such venues as catering halls, basements,
abandoned car repair shops, lofts, and parking lots, and a metal sculpture
foundry. These shows have now become historic in the rise of these
semi-legendary Brooklyn promoters.
The posters they make for all their shows are hand - drawn by half
'Twisted-Brother' Arthur Arbit. They are hand -colored, with a style that is
fiery, complex, reckless, manic, tense / anxious and sophisticated. A.K.A.: true
works of art.
This coming Saturday, November 16th, 2002, there will be a show to celebrate The
Twisted Ones' posters at the Dollhaus Gallery in South Williamsburg. There will
be wicked music by the TWISTED ONES Sound System. |
