We are proud to welcome back Slaughter DK for their second solo exhibition at The Dollhaus II. Inspiration taken from Le Theatre du Grand-Guignol which was a theatre in Pigalle, Paris of naturalistic horror shows. Horror being this artists choice of all art works. We welcome this time 'Slaughterina' the alter ego of this talented artist. A non binary art sex clown who lives for chaos and broken smoke and mirrors. They are an anxious multimedia artist depicting the darker facets of life as well as personal sorrows. 'Slaughterina' is a sex deprived clown artist who yearns to cause lawlessness in their private and public clowning. There will be a selection of paintings, drawings and film all within an installation at The Dollhaus II. 
 
Cirque Guignol is taking inspiration from The Grand Guignol, which was a shock-centric theater that ran from 1897 to 1962. It originated from the Théâtre Libre of Paris and the naturalist movement, which encouraged productions that underlined murder and violence among other real elements of Paris in the 1890's. It was the predecessor to modern-day horror culture, infamous for the use of gorey special effects and acts so shocking, multiple people would pass out during the actual showtimes'
